Impulse Embedded now offers the availability of the Nuvo-9000 Intel 12th Generation 'Alder Lake' rugged embedded computer. The Nuvo range from Neousys covers a host of robust and embedded applications from AI inference to in-vehicle solutions.

The Nuvo-9000 series is the most recent addition to the Nuvo range, which provides the latest Intel 12th Generation core processors code-named 'Alder Lake'. The processors offer a new hybrid core design supporting super-fast DDR5-4800 memory, flexible expansion options and rich I/O count, making them excellent for the latest demanding industrial and AI computing applications at the Edge.

The solution supports Intel's flagship Core i9-12900E, a 16-core 24-thread hybrid processor that provides eight big or performance cores with hyper-threading and eight low power-efficient cores that are more akin to low power computers and share many similarities to the Elkhart Lake Atom cores. Utilising Intel's new Thread Director, users can assign demanding tasks to the larger performance cores while pushing background functional tasks to efficient cores, enabing the system performance to focus more on high-intensity workloads.

The series features an extensive complement of high-speed I/O ports, comprising up to six Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE capability for machine vision applications, six high speed 10Gbps USB3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, and a superspeed++ USB3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port with screw lock, capable of 20Gbps data transfer speeds to external devices. The system also provides triple independent display support via VGA, DVI-D and DisplayPort interfaces and four serial ports supporting RS-232/422/485 signals and one audio Line-in/out interface. In keeping with the forward steps in technology support, the series can also be installed with the fastest NVMe solid-state drives via an M.2 2280 slot that supports 4th Gen PCI Express [x4] signals.

The company can fully configure the series to the customer's exact specifications in its UK-based engineering facility with a selection of processor, memory, and storage, further I/O boards and operating system.
