Two routes to custom electronic enclosures

ROLEC is making it easier to specify customised housings by providing two different options. The company can customise its standard fixed-size enclosures to create unique housings that are ‘PCB-ready’. This customising service applies to diecast aluminium, stainless steel, GRP and plastic enclosures.

All of these advanced modern enclosures are IP rated – most of them to IP66, IP67 and/or IP69K – to cope with testing conditions in heavy industrial, marine and offshore environments. Many models provide ‘lid closed’ installation to defend the seals and electronics. Some models offer clip-on trims to hide the lid screws, enhancing the aesthetics still further.

Models in the ranges comprise aluCASE (premium enclosures), aluCLIC (with click-fit mounting), aluDISC (unique round housings), aluPLUS (in industry-standard sizes), aluNORM (multivariable, with space-saving single-channel fixings), conFORM (with built-in EMC shielding) and aluTWIN (dual chamber).

Both options incorporate comprehensive modification services including CNC machining, painting, powder coating, silk-screen and digital printing, engraving, laser processing, EMC shielding, special materials, membrane keypads, display windows and full assembly.
