Mouser Electronics, Inc. now offers the AK4497SVQ premium stereo DAC from Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM).

Engineered with AKM’s VELVET SOUND architecture, the AK4497SVQ is built for designs that demand ultra-low distortion and wide dynamic range. Supporting PCM streams up to 768kHz/32-bit and DSD512, it ensures accurate reproduction of high-resolution source material without loss of detail.

For design flexibility, the DAC integrates a switched-capacitor filter voltage output stage and six selectable digital filters, allowing precise control of audio characteristics to match specific product requirements.

Performance figures include:

  • SNR: Up to 129dB stereo, 133dB mono
  • THD+N: as low as -117dB
  • Data Weighted Averaging (DWA) routing to minimise element variation and enhance linearity

The device is qualified for automotive-grade operation, making it ideal for luxury infotainment systems, as well as premium consumer audio such as USB/Bluetooth headphones, high-fidelity speakers, soundbars, and AV receivers.

The AK4497SVQ DAC is for engineers seeking uncompromising audio conversion performance in their next design.
