Master Bond EP62-1AO is a two-part epoxy adhesive and sealant with an especially long working life of 12-14 hours at ambient temperature for a 100g mass. This makes it advantageous when bonding and sealing large or intricate parts that require ample time for mixing and applying. This material offers a high strength profile with a tensile modulus of 600,000 to 650,000psi and tensile strength of 5,000 to 6,000psi. The service temperature range is -60F to +450F, and it provides a glass transition temperature of 120C-125C.

The adhesive is electrically insulating and thermally conductive with a thermal conductivity value of 9-10BTU•in/(ft2•hr•F), or 1.30-1.44 W/(m•K). Its chemical resistance profile is robust, particularly in comparison to other thermally conductive epoxies. It can resist an extensive range of acids, bases and solvents. The adhesive has a low coefficient of thermal expansion of 18-21 x 10-6in/in/C.

The viscosity of the mixed compound is of a thixotropic paste consistency. There are various cure schedule choices to select from, all of which need comparatively low heat activation. Additional post-curing for two to four hours at 200F-300F is recommended to achieve optimal performance properties. It is available in 30cc syringe kits, 1/2 pint kits, pint kits, and quart kits. The colour of Part A is off white, and Part B is dark brown.
