Micro-circular connectors for rugged and highly portable electronic systems

Powell Electronics offer micro-circular connectors from Omnetics featuring a 0.050" pitch. The components are QPL-approved for MIL-DTL-32139 and MIL-DTL-83513 and have been designed for new-generation electronic systems, emphasising rugged performance while maintaining high portability and light weight.

Offering notable advantages in size reduction (the mated length is less than 12.4mm) and cable flexibility, the micro-circular connectors utilise Omnetics' rugged and reliable Flex-Pin contact system. The gold-plated Beryllium Copper pins provide reliable performance for over 2,000 mating cycles. Both the male and female contacts are shrouded by the plastic insulators, ensuring that the contacts are protected during mating and unmating. Housing sizes are available in 5, 7, 12, 16, 27, and 39 positions, with options for pre-wired, solder cup, and solid straight tail versions. Shell and housing designs are available in several options, including inline, front, rear, and protruding panel mount configurations. Mating options include Twist Lock (BNC type), threaded, and new breakaway formats. Elaborate wire harnesses, flex termination, overmolding and custom shells are all available upon request.
