Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the SGR571 TorqSense Torque Sensor from Sensor Technology Ltd. – an advanced sensor designed to provide precise and reliable torque measurements for Power Take-Off (PTO) systems, aimed at a broad range of applications in agriculture, construction, and industrial machinery. It delivers accurate torque and speed measurement, simple installation, and robust IP65 protection against environmental challenges. With features like transducer configuration software, PC connectivity for data logging, and user-configurable output limits, the sensor ensures reliable performance in demanding conditions. Also, an anti-rotation eye hook prevents the transducer from spinning with the shaft, providing stable and reliable operation. The wide input voltage range (11V – 32V) and available analogue and digital outputs make this a versatile solution for many PTO applications.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Range up to 2000Nm
  • Compatible with all PTO spline types
  • Accurate measurement ±0.1% of torque and speed
  • User configurable limit outputs
  • High mechanical overload 400%
  • Overrange reading 250%
  • High digital sample rate of 4000 samples per second
  • Digital o/p – RS232 and USB (std), optional CANbus/Ethernet
  • Compatible with TorqView Monitoring Software
  • Non-contact signal transmission – no slip rings
  • Durable Design: housed in rugged, weather-resistant casings
  • Lifetime Warranty

The SGR571 offers easy installation and integration with existing PTO systems, providing reliable and consistent data without the need for complex modifications. Options include wireless data transmission capabilities, enabling operators to monitor torque levels via digital displays or mobile devices remotely. By providing accurate, real-time torque measurements, the SGR571 transducer helps prevent equipment overload and mechanical failure, thereby reducing maintenance costs and downtime, as well as extending the life of machinery.

Applications include:

  • Agriculture: Monitor the performance of tractors and other agricultural equipment to ensure efficient power delivery, optimise fuel consumption, and reduce wear and tear on machinery.
  • Construction: Improve the operational efficiency of heavy-duty construction equipment such as excavators and cranes, by measuring torque more precisely during operation.
  • Industrial Equipment: Ideal for industrial machinery that relies on PTO systems, allowing for better performance monitoring and predictive maintenance.
