Flexible connector series significantly reduces wiring time

29-07-2025 | Rutronik | Industrial

Rutronik expands its range of connectors with the PS series from Amphenol IPG Anytek. The components feature patented 'push-in stranded' technology, which allows the connection of solid and flexible wires without the requirement for terminals or other tools, thereby greatly reducing wiring time. Designed for a rated voltage of up to 300V at a maximum of 10A, the connectors also tolerate operating temperatures from -40C to +105C. They are particularly suitable for use in safety-related applications such as energy storage systems, data centres or factory automation. The PS series connectors can be obtained directly from the company.

The extremely robust connectors are available in 2- to 24-pin versions with a pin pitch of 3.5mm, suitable for cables with diameters ranging from 2 to 16 AWG. Developers also benefit from compatibility with existing headers, which provides for easy replacement or upgrades.

Benefits at a glance:

  • Number of pins available: 2 to 24
  • Operating temperatures: -40C to +105C
  • UL-certified for 10A or 300V
  • Eight different housing colours
  • Labeling possible
  • For cables with diameters from approx. 0.5mm2 to 1.3mm2 (20-16 AWG)

Typical application areas include factory automation, data centres, energy storage systems, electrolysers, smart metering, and elevator electronic devices.
