Expanded SMA extension cable assemblies portfolio delivers low-loss connectivity

Amphenol RF has introduced SMA straight plug to straight plug cable assemblies into its extensive interconnect portfolio. These robust jumpers are designed on industry-standard TFC 302LL cable, which offers a low-loss solution for new designs. SMA extension cables are available in lengths from 1m to 15m, which makes them excellent for automotive telematics, ADAS, IoT and test applications where extended cable runs demand flexibility and signal integrity.

50Ω SMA extension cables deliver reliable RF performance up to 12GHz with a wide operating temperature range from -40C to +105C, which enables them to withstand harsh environmental conditions. SMA connectors used in this design offer secure mating suitable for enduring high-vibration events. Also, heat-shrink strain relief protects terminations during installation. These connectors are engineered using a nickel-plated brass body, gold-plated brass centre contacts and a PTFE insulator. TFC 302LL cable is manufactured with a PVC cable jacket, tinned copper braid shield and polyolefin heat shrink.
