Space-saving branch adaptor saves wiring time and costs

Hirose has extended its low-profile DF51 wire-to-board connector series to include a branch connector. The DF51B Series allows the splitting of the cable into two separate paths. This simplifies the design and wiring process and facilitates smaller and lighter end-products.

Part of the SignalBee connector family, the 2mm pitch series is also obtainable in straight and right-angle versions. Supporting up to 3A, the wire-to-board connector is designed for a wide range of products, including industrial machinery, office equipment, robotics, smart meters, and more.

Ensuring effortless and dependable connection, the connector provides a user-friendly side-lock design with a clear tactile click to confirm secure mating. High contact lance strength stops contacts from pulling loose while wrenching the cables. The connector is adaptable for varied cable types, including 22-30AWG. The branch connector is provided in a single row with two to six positions, while straight and right-angle versions are available in single and dual rows with two to 30 positions.

“The SignalBee connector family combines compact size and design flexibility with high signal performance and reliability. The DF51B branch connector helps simplify routing and organising wires within a system, saving design time and costs,” said Pete Lais, assistant vice president of Product Management for Hirose Electric Americas.

The series wire-to-board power connector has a rated voltage of 250V AC/DC and an operating temperature of -55C to +105C.
