EMKA offer a specialist program of robust Torque Friction Hinges, which can perform the role of a door stay and beneficially save the cost and installation of a separate stay component, even providing up to 180 degrees of the door opening. Further, the adjustable torque feature also permits support at variable door openings, which is suitable where clear access is needed in windy locations. These hinges are produced in black finished zinc diecast material and provided in sizes of 40mm x 40mm with up to 2Nm torque, 50mm x 50mm up to 4Nm and 60mm x 60mm up to 6.5Nm which enables use on many sizes of enclosure or cabinet doors.

In a similar vein, specialist panel builders may need to be able to make additional door alignments, and where this is the problem, then 2D and 3D adjustable hinges can offer the answer, with 180 degrees opening. The company now has these in zinc die or stainless steel with pin adjusters and plate mounting slots, permitting detailed re-alignment during production or at the installation stage where on-site adjustments are needed. For enhanced aesthetic appearance and corrosion protection, there is also a version with an optional plastic clip-on cover to conceal the mounting screws.
