Compact and more efficient control units for LED spot lamps

DELO has released two new devices for controlling and powering LED curing lamps. The DELOLUX pilot S4i and S4T models provide for more powerful lamp heads in an extremely compact design.

With the use of the new S series, DELOLUX 50 spot lamps can be controlled more efficiently, with the capacity to regulate up to four lamp heads individually. Because of their compact nature, the devices are fit for integration into systems with restricted space. The S4i (i = integrated) measures only 100mm x 80mm x 100mm; the S4T model (T = touch) measures approximately 230mm x 300mm x 400mm.

The S4i is created exclusively for integration into PLC-controlled process systems. The control unit does not have an integrated power supply. In contrast, the S4T model provides a touch screen for manual control and has its own integrated power supply. The touch version provides lamp heads to be operated autonomously without the usage of a PLC. However, PLC control is still achievable on this system. One device is enough to work in three different modes, including manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic.

Compared to their predecessor that provided only 60W of power, the S4 models give 150W of power, enabling even more powerful lamp heads to be employed, including the DELOLUX 504 spotlight source. Thanks to increased intensity, UV adhesives cure faster, and cycle times are decreased. An intelligent controller in the base unit provides a constant intensity of the lamp heads.
