New positive slope equalisers offer wide broadband frequency range

Pasternack has introduced a new line of positive slope equalisers that are excellent in compensating for gain variation and optimising performance in systems where extreme losses may occur at the low end of the frequency band. The broadband performance makes them excellent for a mixture of applications in aerospace and defence, MILCOM and SATCOM, test and measurement, and wireless infrastructure.

The company's comprehensive selection of positive slope equalisers comprises of 18 models that function over octave frequency bands from 500MHz to 40GHz. These 50Ohm designs have fixed equalising values ranging from 2dB to 8dB, at the minimum frequency, and give an attenuated response that extends linearly across the frequency band. They also provide low insertion loss levels of 1dB to 3dB and high CW input power handling up to +30dBm (1W).

“These modules help designers to compensate for losses in their signal response, resulting in optimised performance results. Products of this calibre normally require 10-12 week lead-times, but we are able to offer 18 high-quality, high-performance equaliser models with no MOQ and same-day shipping,” said Tim Galla, senior product line manager.
