New RF front end released for mMIMO designs

The Analog Devices ADRF5545A RF front end module from is a dual-channel integrated RF receiver front-end module designed for time-division duplexing and massive multiple-input and multiple-output (mMIMO) applications that operate in the 2.4GHz-4.2GHz frequency range.

The device is configured in dual channels with a cascading two-stage GaAs LNA and a high-power silicon SPDT switch. The device features single-supply operation and interface for CMOS control signals, simplifying incorporation in multi-channel hardware designs with repeatable performance over the entire system.


The device provides high RF power handling ability (averaging 40dBm lifetime) together with high integration and advanced circuit architecture that reduces the requirement for external components, making it excellent for 5G mMIMO antenna interfaces.
