Analog Devices AD242xW Automotive Audio Bus (A2B) Transceivers provide the unprecedented ability to tailor system-level performance to even the most stringent EMC demands. The transceivers provide configurable transmit power levels, allowing developers to match system performance to particular OEM EMC demands. The transceivers also enable increased use cases for microphone connectivity and significantly lessen cabling complexity by distributing audio and control data plus clock and power over a single, unshielded twisted-pair wire. These characteristics dramatically lower system cost and are perfect for emerging multi-mic applications such as in-car communications, road noise cancellation, and autonomous driving.

The transceivers are offered in a 32-lead LFCSP (5mm x 5mm) package, and are fully pin-compatible, easing upgrade and expediting time to market. These devices are also fully compliant with all applicable automotive EMC, EMI, and ESD requirements, are fully AEC-Q100 qualified, and work over the extended automotive temperature range (-40C to +105C).
