Vapour-compression-based chiller systems provide chilled fluid for cooling purposes

ATS’ portable chiller series, available from Digi-Key, includes the ATS-Chill150V, ATS-Chill300V, and ATS-Chill600V re-circulating chillers. They are vapour-compression-based systems that provide chilled fluid for cooling purposes. The temperature of the chilled fluid can be easily set from the front panel. The front panel also shows the pressure drop between the inlet and the outlet. They have a fast response time because of the precise PID control system with small temperature fluctuations. The series are for cooling only and because of its vapour-compression-based refrigeration they do not provide any heating of the coolant. These are portable systems and are ideal for laboratory applications, laser cooling, micro moulding, and other industrial applications. The liquid temperature can be maintained from 0C to 40C from 150W to 600W depending on the model. Their iM chiller and iM201V, is used to remove heat from a fluid tank with a high degree of flexibility and efficiency. The evaporator, which is supported with a flexible hose, is simply submerged into the fluid tank for heat extraction by the self-contained vapour compression system. The iM201V requires no additional plumbing from the chiller to the tank. The thermal transport between the fluid tank and the chiller takes place via the iM evaporator that is connected to the refrigeration system by a 1.6m long hose.
