Dual-face enclosures range offers a dozen models per size

OKW has extended its UNITEC range of dual-face sloping front electronic enclosures to 12 versions for each size. The dual-face design makes it ideal for data acquisition systems, access and information terminals, data systems engineering, communication, measuring and control, industrial regulation, analysis diagnostics and therapy applications. The ergonomic IP40 enclosures can be specified for either desktop or wall mounted applications. Their two operating panels are inclined by 72 and 18 degrees for face-to-face electronics. In desktop use this enables one user to input data on the top and another to read displays or printouts on the front. The smart design offers flexible mounting of components in the bottom, top and front parts with integrated screw pillars. The electronics and interfaces can be installed as complete packages because the top and front faces are at right angles to each other. The range is available in sizes S (125mm x 177mm) and M (148mm x 210mm). Three versions are available for each size: without battery compartment; 3 x AA cells; 5 x AA cells. Each of the three versions offers four different recess variations for membrane keyboards or product labels: front and top 0.6 mm (which allows an all-round graphic overlay); front and top 1.4 mm (for installing two membrane keyboards); front 1.4mm, top 0.6mm; front 0.6mm, top 1.4mm. All the enclosures are moulded from ABS (UL 94 HB) in off-white (RAL 9002) as standard. Accessories include: two-part wall suspension elements (which conceal all the fixings); transparent rubber feet; self-tapping PCB screws (3mm x 6mm, PZ1). Standard enclosures can be customised with special materials (flame retardant V-0); CNC machining; display windows; membrane keyboards; EMC shielding; custom colours; lacquering; adhesive foils; digital, silk screen and tampo printing of legends and logos; installation and assembly.
