High-efficiency 5A switch-mode battery charge and management device

The Texas Instruments (TI) bq25895 is now available from Farnell element14. The high-efficiency, integrated 5A switch-mode battery charge and system power path management device targets single-cell Li-ion and Li-polymer batteries. The device supports high input voltage fast charging while optimising switch-mode operation efficiency and extending battery life. The I²C Serial interface with charging and system settings makes the device a truly flexible solution. Applications include power bank, mobile and Wi-Fi hotspots, wireless Bluetooth speakers and portable internet devices.
