Comprehensive interconnect solution for embedded systems

20-05-2025 | SV Microwave | Industrial

SV Microwave understand that the right interconnect solution can make all the difference in the performance and reliability of your embedded systems. That is why they offer a comprehensive VITA product line, covering everything from VITA 67.1/.2 legacy components to the VITA 67.3 series, featuring SMPM, SMPS, and NanoRF interfaces. Aso, it provides SOSA-aligned D38999 Contacts and VITA 66.5 RF/Fibre Hybrid Connectors, and combined with Amphenol’s VITA offering, you can achieve a full-chassis interconnect solution.

The  company’s VITA products are qualified and built to meet the VITA industry standards. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, they are a go-to source for VITA-compliant RF solutions.

VITA 67.1 and 67.2

The company continues to offer VITA 67.1 and 67.2 legacy components, including Plug-in and backplane modules designed with durable stainless-steel housing. It also provides custom cable assemblies through its cable builder, Rapid Response.

The VITA 67.1 and 67.2 modules come in four and eight-port configurations. They are designed to work with components from various vendors and are recognised as the industry standard for DOD applications. The contacts use a C-clip retention ring design for easy insertion and removal.

VITA 67.3

Building on the strengths of VITA 67.1 and 67.2, the VITA 67.3 specification introduces greater design flexibility by removing predefined port locations and relocating floating contacts to the Backplane side. As well as supporting cabled solutions on the 67.3 plug-in module side, designers have the flexibility to use direct RF edge-launch connections to the PCB, leading to improved electrical performance.

The company offers a full range of VITA 67.3 products, including SMPM, SMPS, and NanoRF interfaces. Its modular solutions – comprising contacts, cable assemblies, adapters, and terminations for backplane and plug-in modules – support your embedded systems' entire RF signal path.

These products are designed for seamless side-by-side integration with other VITA connector standards, ensuring a streamlined and efficient solution for an application. As an associate member of The Open Group, the company actively participates in the SOSA Electro-Mechanical hardware group, keeping its solutions up-to-date with the latest ANSI/VITA and SOSA specifications.

VITA 67.3 SMPM

The VITA 67.3 SMPM series is engineered to meet and exceed the electrical and mechanical performance standards outlined in ANSI/VITA67.3-2017, ensuring systems operate at peak performance. Per the VITA specification, this product line is rated to perform up to 40GHz but can support frequencies above 40GHz.

VITA 67.3 SMPS

The VITA 67.3 SMPS solutions improve design flexibility via higher data rates and increased density on modern VPX platforms. An industry standard for over a decade, the SMPS series has been trusted by some of the most demanding US Mil-Aero programs and is designed to excel in even the most challenging environments. Per the VITA specification, this product line is rated to perform up to 70GHz.

VITA 67.3 NanoRF

The company's latest addition, the NanoRF Series, further increases its already robust VITA 67.3 offering. This product line offers high-performance modules and associated contacts, cable assemblies, for plug-in cards and Backplanes. This is the highest-density VITA 67.3 product, supporting up to 20 RF connections at once and rated to perform up to 67GHz. With the addition of the NanoRF interface, it is now a one-stop shop for all VITA 67 blocks, contacts, cables, and associated accessories, including adapters and terminations.
