Amphenol RF has introduced 2.92mm to SMA precision adapters into our robust portfolio of coaxial adapters, which are suited for testing purposes. These adapters are available in various configurations, including plug-to-plug, plug-to-jack, jack-to-plug, and jack-to-jack. 2.92mm to SMA adapters deliver high-frequency performance up to 26.5GHz, supporting broadband applications such as network and spectrum analysis, as well as RF production tests.
Featuring an air-dielectric interface, these adapters minimise signal loss and maintain low VSWR for optimal measurement accuracy. The -65C to +165C temperature range ensures functionality in a variety of harsh laboratory and field conditions. Designed with MIL-STD-348 compliant interfaces, these adapters are compatible with standard SMA and 2.92mm (SMK) connectors. The body and coupling nut are machined from passivated stainless steel and feature a contact made from gold-plated beryllium copper. The retaining ring is made of SUS 304 with a silicone gasket, and the 2.92mm insulator is composed of PTFE, while the SMA insulator is made of Ultem 1000. These adapters are suited for laboratory test benches, RF/microwave production tests, communications and radar system evaluations and high-frequency module characterisation.
This new off-the-shelf solution complements a wide range of adapters from the company designed to satisfy the growing demand for high-frequency data transmission in next-generation designs.
