First industrial DDR5 VLP UDIMM modules offer low power and high performance

16-06-2023 | Apacer | Semiconductors

Apacer has released the world's first industrial DDR5 VLP UDIMM module. It integrates the advantages of very low-profile dimensions, large capacity, low power consumption and high performance.

The modules are provided in 16GB and 32GB versions, and there are also DDR5 VLP ECC UDIMM modules to fit other applications. The modules support a transmission speed of up to 5600MT/s and have high bandwidth to supply customers with an exceptional computing experience. They adopt a very low-profile design, and the height is just 18.75mm. It is designed to save valuable space, improve the system's cooling effect, and save energy. At the same time, the design significantly improves system creation flexibility, effectively reducing the space occupied by and the power consumed by the system.

As well as the above devices, DDR5 VLP RDIMM products are anticipated to be launched in the second half of this year. The huge data sets employed in modern applications such as AI language models or text and image generation need end-to-end protection to keep data errors to a minimum. To fulfil the challenging standards in markets such as edge computing, data centres and AI, the company provides the most complete line of industrial VLP memory modules in the industry, supplying customers with more efficient, reliable, and robust solutions while promoting the continuous development of the entire market.

This innovative product is aimed at space-constrained high-density servers and Netcom, telecom, and embedded applications.
