After graduating from Bath University, UK with a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1987, Oxley started his career as a development engineer for Marconi Communications Ltd, Chelmsford, UK before moving to TT Electronics Welwyn Components Ltd near Newcastle, UK in 1992. Initially working in thick film and chip-and-wire microelectronics, since 2000 he has specialised in resistors, and is now Senior Engineer, Applications & Marketing for the Resistors Business Unit within TT Electronics.
