FORTEC United Kingdom presents the Cincon NCS01W8 Series, a new generation of ultra-wide input, non-isolated DC-DC converters that combine outstanding efficiency with a compact footprint. These converters have been designed to deliver stable, reliable power in limited board space, where performance cannot be compromised.
One of the key strengths of the series is its ultra-wide 6–72VDC input range, providing engineers flexibility across a wide range of supply conditions. Regulated output voltages from 3.3V to 24V are available, with up to 95% efficiency, greatly lowering power loss and thermal challenges. Despite its high performance, the converter measures just 0.48" x 0.34" x 0.69", making it excellent for compact designs that demand maximum power in minimum space.
Reliability under tough conditions is another hallmark of the series. With an operating temperature range from -40C to +105C, the series is built to withstand harsh industrial environments. The design also provides excellent electrical performance, with ±2% voltage accuracy at full load, low ripple/noise (<75mV peak-to-peak), and a fast transient recovery time of 250μs, ensuring stable regulation even during rapid load changes.
For protection and longevity, the converters include a full suite of safeguards: over-current protection (165% rated current in hiccup mode), over-temperature protection (150C shutdown), under-voltage lockout, and short-circuit protection with auto recovery. Mechanical resilience is further enhanced with two case pins, providing stability in high-vibration environments.
The NCS01W8 Series meets IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 safety approvals and complies with EN 55032 EMI Class A and B (with external filtering). These certifications make it particularly suited for instrumentation and industrial electronics, where compact, certified, and efficient power conversion is essential.
