Tough enclosures feature built-in EMC shielding

Demand for ROLEC's HMI touch screen enclosures has increased with the popularity of its conTROL (IP 66, IP 67) housings for buttons and switches.

These die-cast aluminium enclosures, which feature built-in EMC shielding, are designed mainly for machine control in demanding environments. They are also excellent for a wide range of other industrial electronics applications.

The enclosure's rugged EMC shielding eliminates the need for expensive and delicate conductive gaskets. Instead, continuous contact is produced by a patented tooth system pre-cast into the lid and base.

The lid features a deep recess to protect buttons, switches and other operating elements. Inside the enclosure, there are threaded screw bosses for installing PCBs, mounting plates and terminal rails.

The versatile enclosure is manufactured in four standard sizes from 84.8mm x 129mm x 55mm to 85mm x 180mm x 78mm. This makes it straightforward to replace existing enclosures. The standard colour is pebble grey (RAL 7032). Custom colours are available on request.

Options and accessories include an installation kit, hinges, lid supports, external mounting brackets, mounting plates, supporting rails and a corrosion-proof coating in azure blue (RAL 5009).

The company can supply conTROL enclosures that are fully customised, including CNC machining, engraving, powder coating, painting, printing, display windows, and assembly.
