Mouser Electronics, Inc. now supplies the new QuantumDot 01005 series ultra-compact LEDs from Kingbright. With ultra-compact dimensions and an extremely wide viewing angle, the series delivers bright, uniform light distribution for space-constrained backlights, status indicators, healthcare devices, smart homes and appliances, robotics, and wearable applications.
The LEDs are ultra-compact (0.45mm x 0.25mm x 0.2mm) and feature a wide viewing angle (140°), delivering consistent and even illumination across space-constrained applications. Developed for low power consumption and unparalleled performance without compromising brightness or energy efficiency, these LEDs enhance sustainability and cost-effectiveness by replacing conventional AlInGaP-based light-emitting chips with quantum dot-converted subpixels, providing improved colour consistency across a wide range of viewing angles.
The QuantumDot 01005's low-power consumption provides 24mW power dissipation, 5V reverse voltage, 10mA DC forward current, 40mA peak forward current, and a 3000V electrostatic discharge threshold (HBM). These LEDs are RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and include moisture sensitivity level (MSL) 2.
