Mouser now stocks the HIVONEX PowerTube PowerTube connectors from TE Connectivity. Created for handling large electrical loads, the connectors supply safe and reliable performance for high-power applications in all hybrid and electric industrial and commercial vehicles. The connector series supports up to 580A continuous current depending on wire size and temperature and a voltage level of up to 1000V.

The connectors support wire sizes ranging from 35mm2 to 150mm2. Manufactured with scalability and modularity in mind, the PowerTube header is provided in either 180° or 90° orientations, with up to three positions per connector. This is complemented by a unique cube-shaped bus bar interface that permits connectivity independent of bus bar orientation. Along with its modularity, a refined circular design greatly simplifies cable routing and connector assembly, assisting in lowering the total applied system cost. The connector helps provide reliable, safe connectivity thanks to IP6K9K dust and water ingress protection, CPA and an HVIL safety feature in each pin.

The robust connectors’ IP6K9K dust and water ingress protection assures reliable and safe connectivity for HEVs and EVs. The connectors' circular design helps to lower the total applied costs of automotive applications. The connectors also supply connector position assurance to withstand engine-level vibration and a high-voltage interlock loop safety feature in each pin.

The connectors were recently featured in the September 26 edition of Mouser's "New Tech Tuesday" blog, Electrification in Heavy Machinery and Equipment: Leading the Charge with TE PowerTube Connectors.
