Automotive applications are demanding, and components frequently face shocks and vibrations. Particularly in wire-to-board applications, a secure connection is critical because loose links can lead to signal interference. The DuraClik 2mm wire-to-board connector system from Molex delivers high electrical contact reliability, mating security, and low space needs. Also, the ISL and the TPA versions are appropriate for operating temperatures up to 125C. The components are ideal for automotive, commercial vehicles, and consumer electronics applications. The connector system and other Molex products are available now from Rutronik.

This connector system is available in a 2mm pitch for two to 15 circuits in single-row configuration with vertical and right-angle orientation. Also offered is the option to tin or gold plat the contacts.

The ISL and TPA versions work at temperatures up to 125C, fulfilling the most stringent demands for applications in harsh environments. The TPA version also features the 'Interia Lock' locking system, which supplies even better protection against loose connections and ensures a secure connection.

The solution is suitable for vibration-intensive applications (up to a tensile force of 100N) and offers space-saving due to the small dimensions. The internal positive locking generates an audible clicking noise. Gold plating and tin plating are also possible. The system has a wide operating temperature range from -40C to +125C. The ISL version meets LV214, ES91500-03 and SAE/USCAR-21 specifications, and the TPA version features Interia Lock.

Target applications include automotive, e.g., headlights, head-up displays, navigation systems, and vehicle connectivity; electromobility, e. g. battery management systems; consumer electronics and consumer goods industry, e. g., electrical household appliances, LED lighting, vending, and gaming machines.
