New IP67 TNC jacks suited to designs for outdoor use

03-08-2023 | Amphenol | Industrial

Amphenol RF has expanded its popular miniature sized TNC interface with further configurations developed to accommodate micro coax cable types. These new configurations are IP67 rated, which makes them excellent for applications that could experience temporary water or dust ingress due to exposure to external elements in harsh environments. They are excellent for outdoor use in antenna and industrial solutions.

These IP67 rear mount bulkhead jacks are manufactured primarily with nickel-plated brass components, including the body, hex nut, lock washer, inner ferrule, and sleeve. The contact is created from gold-plated, beryllium copper. They are developed for use with 0.81mm and 1.37mm ultra-flexible micro coaxial cable with rear mounting for easy and secure mounting inside a panel. These connectors provide an extra layer of protection for systems that weather-related issues could otherwise compromise.

The sealed TNC jacks add to a growing portfolio of IP-rated products available from the company. These products are ideal for remote outdoor enclosures, portable radios, handheld and industrial and defence equipment.
