New global agreement delivers thermal control sensor switches

03-08-2023 | Mouser Electronics | Industrial

Mouser has a new global distribution agreement with Microtherm Sentronic, suppliers of sensor control technology. Microtherm Sentronic manufactures temperature measurement solutions and overheating protection switches for industrial and household applications, including motors, damper controls, power electronics, transformers, sensors engineering, and more.

The company now stocks the latest lineup from Microtherm Sentronic, including the T Series enclosed bimetal snap-action temperature switches. This series includes a two-contact system where temperature and current influence switch. They supply thermal protection and temperature-limiting control with high power ratings and no vibrational influence. Configurations are obtainable in either normally closed or normally open options. The switches are provided in a broad range of package options wired in single, double or triplet configurations with rated maximum currents of 6.3A (type T12) with maximum switching currents of 12A.

The F Series enclosed bimetal snap-action temperature switches provide a central contact for very fast response time and are excellent for installation into motor windings, as they are extremely small, pressure-stable and resistant to impregnating resins and lacquers. These devices are perfect for confined applications like motors, transformers, PCBs, welding devices, and relays. These switches are tested for shock and vibration resistance and are obtainable in various design options – including insulated packages, normally closed or normally open, and single, twin or triplet configurations for sensing temperature in three-phase applications that feature high switch cycles. Typical current ratings are 2A to 3A.

The B Series enclosed bimetal snap-action temperature switches provide a thermo-bimetallic snap-disc with a double contact mechanism. These switches function as thermal motor protectors (single phase) and temperature limiters with current ratings of 5A up to 13A, delivering up to 10,000 switching cycles with versatile design options. Available in normally closed and normally open, this switch series is also appropriate for motors, transformers, various electronics, sensor controls, pumps, heaters, converters, and more.
