Featuring the Digi XBee 3 Global LTE Cat 1 embedded modem, designers can swiftly incorporate cutting-edge LTE cellular into their devices and applications by eradicating the time-consuming and costly FCC and carrier end-device certification process. The kit also arrives pre-loaded with three months of cellular data service, preactivated and ready to go.

The development kit allows users to prototype cellular integration employing onboard templates. Users can seamlessly transition to this embedded modem with the complete suite of standard Digi XBee API frames and AT commands, MicroPython, and Digi XCTU with only minor software adjustments.

Using the Digi XBee 3 Global LTE Cat 1 smart modem, OEMs and solution providers can also have the flexibility to swap between multiple frequencies and wireless protocols as required. These pre-certified Global LTE Cat 1 modules are constructed on industry-leading technology and are excellent for moderate bandwidth (typically less than 25MB per month) and low-cost IoT applications.

Pairing Digi Remote Manager with the modem lets users configure and control the modem from a central platform. The built-in Digi TrustFence security, identity, and data privacy features employ multiple control layers to protect against new and evolving cyber threats. Standard XBee API frames and AT commands, MicroPython, and XCTU simplify setup, configuration, testing and adding or changing functionality.
