Littelfuse, Inc has released its new SZSMF4L 400W TVS Diode Series. As automotive electronics continue growing in volume and sophistication, all these components need protection from high voltage, high energy transients.

The TVS Diodes protect sensitive systems with fast response time, low Zener impedance, high surge handling, and exceptional clamping capabilities. Its low leakage current is also excellent for protecting sensors. Due to its small size, it is appropriate for most automotive applications, particularly vehicle electrification.

The series is ideal for various automotive electronics applications, including EV powertrains, OBC, BMS, EV Inverter, PDU, Domain Controller, Zone Controller, Body Control Modules, and Low leakage current required for sensor protection.

“With the megatrend of vehicle electrification and autonomous driving, TVS diode miniaturisation is becoming more critical to automotive electronics engineers and PCB designers,” said Charlie Cai, director product marketing SBU, Littelfuse. “The automotive grade SZSMF4L TVS diodes offer greater flexibility and space-savings, providing the ideal 400W solution in a small (SOD-123FL) TVS diode package with both uni- and bi-directional protection.”

The SMD TVS Diodes offer a compact SOD-123FL package compatible with automated PCB assembly processes. They use -40% less PCB space than earlier available components. The working peak reverse voltage range includes uni-directional (5V to 78V) and bi-directional (10V to 78V) and providers a low Leakage Current performance. The series has a high operating temperature of up to 175C.
