The assemblies support high-performance networking, storage and data centre applications. The cable assemblies also provide longer reach, lighter-weight interconnects and a smaller bend radius than copper alternatives. The Active Optical cable assemblies are ideal for high-speed interconnects within and between switches, high-performance computing, server-server clusters for AI and ML, routers and transport equipment and InfiniBand applications.

The assemblies provide a comprehensive range of form factors and data rates, delivering a versatile solution for high-performance electronics designs. TE Connectivity offers SFP, QSFP, QSFP-DD, and OSFP assemblies in straight and breakout configurations. The cable assemblies offer 28G NRZ, 56G, and 112G PAM4 per channel, delivering aggregated data rates from 25G to 800G. The comprehensive range of assemblies provides lowered power and latency, ease of installation and straightforward configurability for complicated data centre and networking applications.

The cable assemblies feature low power consumption, built-in digital diagnostic functions, are hot-pluggable and RoHS compliant, and deliver a commercial operating case temperature range of 0C to 70C.
