Light switch available for home consumer installation

09-03-2023 | ZF Group | Industrial

With the success and interest received from the KNX-RF energy harvesting light switch module from ZF Group, the collaboration is commencing with light switch manufacturer Retrotouch.

Both partners are members of the KNX Association and are enthusiastic about the potential for the home automation industry, with the opportunities of this battery-free, maintenance-free and wireless switch.

The switch is ideal for adding to a new bespoke system. It is also excellent for retrofitting into an existing twisted-pair KNX system using the ZF mediacouplers available from Retrotouch. It is compatible with KNX-RF 2.0 Ready S-Mode and configurable with ETS software (from version 5 onwards). The switch may be customised with programming to operate in a customer’s desired room and function for lighting and window shutters.

Its lighting solutions are stylish and affordable, enabling the homeowner to buy and install them easily. Home automation does not need to be reserved for high-end custom renovations, homeowners who are looking to replace existing systems one room at a time can now join this industry too.
