New electronic rotary latch offers high-strength security in a small package

Southco Asia Ltd, a subsidiary of Southco Inc, has extended its R4-EM Electronic Rotary Latch series with a compact version that provides advanced intelligence. The new electronic rotary latch supplies concealed electronic latching and enhanced security without sacrificing strength or functionality, making it an excellent choice for applications with notable space limitations.

The lightweight latch is created with integrated latch and door status sensors that offer reliable security and remote monitoring for equipment in high-traffic areas, such as self-service kiosks and mobile medical device equipment. Wireless connectivity makes connecting the latch to existing software for indisputable status reporting easy. With an energy-efficient, low-power draw, the latch is intended to run on batteries and is offered with an optional mechanical override.

The latch supplies a concealed, push-to-close access control solution for various industry applications where space is at a premium and remote access is required. The latch has enhanced and intelligent security without compromising mechanical latching strength.

This latch series offers the convenience of electronic access control with the security of a proven rotary latch design in a compact, integrated package.
