TDK Corporation has introduced the TDK-Lambda brand PF1500B-360 full brick power module, able to provide up to 1512W. The power supply provides a 0.98 power factor and supplies a regulated 360VDC non-isolated voltage from an AC input. The device can be employed to drive isolated high-voltage input DC-DC modules in a distributed power architecture configuration or loads needing a high-voltage DC input. Applications comprise semiconductor fabrication, LED lighting and custom power supply solutions using power modules.

With an input of 170VAC to 265VAC, the device offers 1512W and 1008W when operated from 85VAC to 265VAC. The 96.5% efficiency provides reliable operation with baseplate temperatures of up to +100C and in ambient temperatures of -40C to +85C. The module has the industry standard full brick package size, measuring 116.8mm (L) x 61mm (W) x 12.7mm (H) for low-profile applications.

As standard, the device supplies a 10-16V 10mA auxiliary voltage, remote on/off and an inverter good signal. An enable function can activate isolated DC-DC converters when the output voltage exceeds 360VDC to synchronise output rise times. Parallel connection with current sharing of up to three modules is feasible for extra output power.

Input and output to baseplate isolation is 2,500VAC. The device is certified to the IEC/EN/CSA/UL 62368-1 standards and is CE / UKCA marked to the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS EU Directives and UK regulations. With external circuitry, it will meet radiated and conducted emissions and comply with the IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
