Designed for DDR5 and state-of-the-art memory modules, the sockets from Amphenol Communications Solutions enable convenient memory expansion. These products are available now from Rutronik. The SO-DIMM and DIMM sockets in vertical and right-angled orientation offer high flexibility for integration. Developed for use in data centres, servers, mass storage, desktop PCs, notebooks, and embedded applications in communications and industrial equipment, they satisfy an assortment of necessities.

Although the DDR5 SO-DIMM sockets are just half the size of traditional connectors, they allow high speed and bandwidth. They can be employed to implement high-speed DDR5 digital validation. They also enable a reduction of power consumption and optimised thermal management.

Flexibility is tremendous thanks to the option of right-angled or vertical alignment depending on the application's necessities, making 262 positions feasible. The particularly compact design with a pitch of 0.5mm is particularly space-saving. They are offered with a height of 4mm, 8mm, 5.2mm, or 9.2mm.

These vertical DDR5 DIMM sockets provide 288 contacts at 0.85mm pitch and can withstand shock and vibration testing at high system levels. Designed for the new JEDEC SO-023 interface standard, the sockets impress with their smooth mating behaviour. Here, too, fast data rates and – thanks to the low operating voltage with a small pitch – lower energy consumption are among the key features.
