New fast-wetting and no-clean flux-cored wire for robotic and manual soldering

Indium Corporation now offers the CW-818, a uniquely formulated no-clean, high-reliability flux-cored wire developed to minimise cycle times in manual and robotic soldering processes while providing top-tier soldering speed and spread.

Created to satisfy the needs of manual and robotic soldering processes, this halide-free wire combines superior soldering speed and spread with enhanced overall cleanliness (with clear/light-coloured residue, charring resistance, and spatter control technology) to supply a flux-cored wire with improved cleanliness, even at higher soldering iron tip temperatures.

It excels in manual and robotic soldering applications in which the J-STD-004C high-reliability category is wished or needed or where extra wetting power is required to attain higher throughput.

The product is also compatible with Pb-free and SnPb alloys; compatible with HASL, ENIG, Immersion Silver, and OSP surface finishes; and a good choice for legacy processes requiring an RMA-strength product.
