Würth Elektronik now provides an additional multilayer chip antenna for the miniaturisation of radio applications. Measuring only 40mm x 6mm x 5mm, the WE-MCA antenna covers the 700MHz to 960MHz and 1710MHz to 2690MHz frequency ranges. The antenna offers an excellent size-to-performance ratio with its previously unachieved form factor and slender profile.

It is ideal for applications including GSM 900, WLAN/WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS/GNSS, ZigBee, and mobile communication (4G/LTE). Together with various radio modules and EMC products for high-frequency applications, the company offers a comprehensive portfolio of products for the development of radio applications, including compact IoT and smart-building applications. With an operating temperature range from -40C to +85C, these chip antennas are also excellent for robust applications.

The layout of miniaturised radio applications and selecting suitable inductors and capacitors to eradicate interferences is an art in itself. This is why the company also provides an antenna matching and characterisation support for this range of multilayer chip antennas.
