Complete eval kit for ToF sensor with extended measurement range

STMicroelectronics P-NUCLEO-53L4A2 STM32 Nucleo Pack, available now from Mouser, is a complete evaluation kit that enables the user to evaluate, learn, and develop applications using the VL53L4CX ToF sensor with extended range measurement. Specifically developed for long-range, multi-target measurements, the kit offers very accurate distance measurements up to 6m with outstanding results over short distances. A new generation laser emitter with 18-degree FoV improves the performance under ambient light. Thanks to ST patented algorithms and innovative module construction, it can detect multiple objects within the FoV with depth understanding. ST histogram algorithms ensure cover glass crosstalk immunity beyond 80cm and dynamic smudge compensation for targets below 80cm. Like all ToF sensors based on ST FlightSense technology, the kit records an absolute distance measurement regardless of the target colour and reflectance.

The development board offers a flexible and affordable way for users to try out new ideas and build prototypes with any STM32 microcontroller, selecting from the varied combinations of performance, power consumption, and features.
