Qorvo QPF4532 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 Front End Module (FEM), available now from Mouser, is optimised for IEEE 802.11ax systems. The FEM features a 5150MHz to 5850MHz frequency range, up to 31dB transmit gain, and a low 2dB noise figure. This highly integrated device combines a 5GHz power amplifier, regulator, SPDT, and a bypassable LNA into a single package. The compact form factor and integrated matching of the FEM minimises the layout area in the application.

The device's performance is focused on optimising the PA for a 3.3V supply voltage. This feature conserves power consumption while maintaining high linear output power and leading-edge throughput. The receive path matches the optimal technologies to maximise Rx sensitivity via noise figure performance consistent over various conditions. Integrated die level filtering for 2nd and 3rd harmonics, and 2.4GHz rejection for DBDC operation, are included. For application feedback, a DC power detector is incorporated into the package delivering a voltage proportional to the output power from the transmit path.

The FEM is supplied in a compact 2.5mm x 2.5mm laminate package.
