AC/DC and wireless technologies significantly reducing energy consumption

26-04-2022 | Eggtronic | Power

Visitors to the Eggtronic booth at PCIM 2022 will see innovative new power control and conversion architectures that enhance the efficiency and performance of AC/DC and wireless power transfer applications while notably decreasing component count.

It will exhibit EcoVoltas AC/DC architectures that offer exceptional no-load to full-load efficiency and implement complete solutions with fewer conversion stages than conventional approaches. The company will also present wireless charging technologies that function with the same efficiency as wired applications while expanding the power transfer range and enhancing positional freedom.

Among the technologies on display will be QuarEgg and SmartEgg ZVS designs that deliver more efficient, higher power density alternatives to QR and ACF technologies in non-PFC and PFC applications with power ratings up to 1kW. The company will also display a high-power-density, single-stage PFC+regulator AC/DC converter architecture for power ratings over 1kW.

Its wireless charging innovations on display include E2WATT, a patented AC wireless power hybrid technology that offers the basis for bringing future mobile charging designs into new segments, including AV equipment, laptops, home appliances and electric vehicles.

“This will be our first time as an exhibitor at PCIM,” says Igor Spinella, the company’s CEO and founder. “We are excited to have the opportunity to show visitors the innovative technologies that we have launched over the last few months, to demonstrate the potential of our next-generation wired and wireless technologies, and to give visitors an insight into our roadmap for future developments.”
