Tumbler Technologies and TRUMPower has introduced its new TMA180 180W power adapter series, which is supplied in a slim profile of 7.87” (L) x 3.54” (W) x 1.73” (H) and is offered with two dual output options of +12V/+5V or +12V/-12V and a triple output option of +12V/+5V/-12V. The power adapter is equipped with an IEC 320/C14 AC inlet and has a standard 10-pin Molex mini-fit Jr output connector. The company can provide additional connector and cable options on request.

Operating at a 90 to 264VAC universal input, the series supports operating altitudes up to 5,000m and operating temperatures between -20C to +60C ambient while derating linearly from 100% load at +40C to 50% load at +60C. The power supply has a no-load consumption of less than 0.3W. It has an MTBF of 300,000 hours-minimum at full load, 25C ambient, calculated per Bellcore TR-332, making it an extremely reliable power supply. It withstands voltage of 3,000VAC from input to output, 1,500VAC from input to ground, and 1,500VAC from output to ground.

The power supply is certified for the most recent ITE standards ofIEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1(2nd Edition). It meets IEC/EN/UL 60601-1 (Edition 3.1) and 60601-1-2 (4th Edition) medical standards, but the series does not currently have medical safety certifications. The power supply complies with EMC and immunity standards, including EN 55032 & 55035, FCC class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3, EN 61000-4-2 (ESD at ±15kV air and ±8kV contact), EN61000-4-3, EN 61000-4-4, EN 61000-4-5, EN 61000-4-6, EN 61000-4-8, EN 61000-4-11. The TMA180 series complies with DoE Level VI and EU ErP Tier 2 standards with a minimum efficiency average of 86%.
