OKW has had a growing demand for its advanced touchscreen enclosures that include its wall-mounted SMART-PANEL, low-profile handheld SLIM-CASE, square-plan control centre PROTEC and multifunctional INTERFACE-TERMINAL.
All four ranges cover a broad range of applications, including IIoT/IoT, Industry 4.0, smart factory, measuring and control, offices, gateways, medical and laboratory technology, automation, data systems engineering and wireless communications.
The new SMART-PANEL houses edge-to-edge touchscreens for electrical installations, building services, smart home and security systems. These discreet enclosures may be fitted to standard flush-mount cavity wall boxes. With no visible fixing screws, they blend seamlessly into the modern residential, commercial and industrial environments.
A new SLIM-CASE (IP 54/65) can contain touchscreens up to 4” (10cm) for a wide variety of high-mobility environmental technology and safety engineering applications. Its contoured sides, bevelled rear panel and optional soft-touch intermediate ring make it comfortable to hold and operate. The practically frameless design houses low-profile components and assemblies in a compact space.
The PROTEC (IP 65 optional) provides an ergonomic sloping front panel and is offered in three sizes – all of which can be customised to house a touchscreen. This modern housing can be employed on a table-top or wall-mounted to accommodate the specific application. Three versions are provided with a recessed, closed or extended rear section for the connections and cables.
The modular INTERFACE-TERMINAL (IP 54 optional) can be provided in various configurations: mobile handheld units; sloping front table-top or wall-mounted units; flush-mount units for fitting in walls or front panels for harmonious integration in visually sensitive locations, including historic buildings. An accessory glass screen can be specified for touchscreens (6.4”, 8.4” or 10.4”).
The enclosures are moulded from UV-stable ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) or ABS (UL 94 HB). They are all off-white (RAL 9002) as standard except SMART-PANEL, which is traffic white (RAL 9016).
Accessories incorporate glass panels for the touchscreens, IP seals, anti-slide rubber feet, and self-tapping screws for fitting PCBs and assemblies.
