New SSD solutions are ideal for high-security applications

SMART Modular Technologies has launched its T5PFLC FIPS 140-2 SSDs, which give certified authentication, sophisticated encryption and are offered in capacities from 120GB to 2TB.

The company’s FIPS 140-2 designation means that these SSDs contain cryptographic components that have been validated to NIST FIPS 140-2 Level 2 Standard, which offers assurance that electronic information is highly protected and satisfies the stringent classification standards demanded by high-security applications. FIPS 140-2 Inside also means an independent lab has validated the cryptographic component(s) in the SSD to the NIST FIPS 140-2 Level 2 Standard.
