Benewake TFmini Plus Single-Point Ranging LiDAR Modules, available now from Mouser, offer a low-cost, small-size, and low power consumption solution for promoting cost-effective LiDARs. The modules improve frame rate, optimise multiple compensation algorithms, and are packaged in an IP65 rated enclosure.

The devices are compatible with both UART and I2C interfaces that may be switched by commands. The modules emit modulation waves of near-infrared rays on a periodic basis, which is reflected after contacting the object. The ToF is then measured by the round-trip phase difference, and then the relative range is calculated between the product and the detection object. These modules are RoHS compliant and ideal for stable, accurate, and high-frequency range detection.


Typical uses include pedestrian detection, vehicle detection, altimeter, and robot fall-arrest applications.
