New line of positive slope equalisers help optimise system performance

Fairview Microwave has released a new line of positive slope equalisers which display a fixed attenuation response that expands linearly over broadband frequencies. These equalisers are excellent in compensating for gain variation and optimising performance in systems where excessive losses can occur at the low end of the frequency band. This broadband performance makes them excellent for many applications involved in aerospace and defence, MILCOM and SATCOM, wireless infrastructure, and test and measurement.

The new series of positive slope equalisers comprises 18 models covering octave and broadband frequencies from 500MHz to 40GHz. These 50-Ohm designs are specified with fixed equalising values that range from 2dB to 8dB, feature low insertion loss levels of 1dB to 3dB, and offer high CW input power handling up to +30dBm (1W).

“Products of this calibre normally require 10-12 week lead-times, but we can offer 18 high-quality, high-performance equaliser models with no MOQ and same-day shipping,” said Tim Galla, senior product line manager.
