ToF distance and motion sensor modules include infrared laser light source

Broadcom AFBR-S50x ToF Distance and Motion Sensor Modules, available now from Mouser, are multi-pixel optical measurement sensor modules based on the optical ToF principle. These sensors incorporate an integrated infrared laser light source and an internal clock source. The sensors provide up to 3kHz fast measurement rates, below ±1% accuracy error, and an unambiguous range up to 100m in 2f mode.

The modules are laser class 1 eye-safe ready and are drop-in compatible within the AFBR-S50 sensor platform. The devices work well on all surface conditions.

Typical applications include distance measurement, human-machine interfaces, robotics, automation and control, security surveillance, inventory monitoring, and drone navigation.
