Laird Performance Materials Electroseal Conductive Elastomer Extrusions, available now from Mouser, offer environmental sealing and excellent mechanical and electromagnetic shielding properties. The shielding system comprises of a conductive gasket sandwiched between a metal housing and lid. The primary function of these gaskets is to deliver sufficient electrical conductivity over the enclosure/gasket/lid junction to satisfy grounding and EMI shielding needs. The conductive elastomer extrusions are excellent for applications that require both environmental sealing and EMI shielding and can be employed in a wide range of operating temperatures. The compounds can be supplied in moulded or extruded shapes, sheet stock, custom extruded, or die-cut shapes to satisfy the broad variety of defence and commercial applications.

The product is available in a wide variety of conductive filler materials with extruded shapes ideal for very narrow mounting surfaces. It offers shielding effectiveness up to 120dB at 10GHz, and there are high corrosion-resistant compounds available.
