Single-use proximal flow meter offers excellent accuracy

Sensirion SFM3400-D Single-Use Proximal Flow Meter has been created to measure the flow rate of air, oxygen, and other non-aggressive gases with excellent accuracy. The device is available now from Mouser. The meter has a calibrated flow rate (±33slm) and offers a very low-pressure drop with a very small dead space (<1ml). The device provides a very fast update time of 0.5ms.

The device measures the breathing flow rate of the inhalation and exhalation of a patient and is ideal for the ventilation of neonates and infants. The flow meter is based on CMOSens technology which is combined with the sensor element.

The Proximal Flow Meter is intended for proximal flow measurements in medical ventilation and other respiratory applications.
