Texas Instruments DLP3010LC Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) is a digitally controlled micro-opto-electromechanical system spatial light modulator (SLM). When connected to an appropriate optical system, the DMD displays a very crisp and high-quality image or video. This DMD is a component of the chipset, including the DMD, DLPC3478 display and light controller, and DLPA200x/DLPA300x PMIC/LED driver.

The compact physical size of this DMD coupled with the controller and the PMIC/LED driver gives a total system solution that allows small form factor, low power, and high-resolution, light-control applications like such as 3D scanners.

The solution offers a battery-powered mobile accessory and is ideal for 3D depth capture such as 3D camera, 3D reconstruction, AR/VR, dental scanner; 3D machine vision including robotics, metrology, in-line inspection (AOI); 3D biometrics including facial and finger print recognition; and light exposure including 3D printers, programmable spatial and temporal light exposure.
