TDK Corporation has introduced the TDK-Lambda brand DDA series of DIN rail mounted DC-DC power supplies. Using the company’s i6A non-isolated step-down power modules, the units can receive a broad range DC input of up to 9VDC to 53VDC and produce output voltages between 3.3 to 24V. The DDA series can offer cost-effective, low voltage outputs from standard 24V AC/DC DIN rail power supplies seen in many industrial and test and measurement systems.

The series offers three standard models - a single output rated at +12V at 20A (adjustable from 3.3V to 15V), and two dual outputs versions rated at +12V 20A/+5V 20A (both adjustable from 3.3V to 15V) and +12V 14A/-12V 8A (both adjustable from 3.3V to 24V). The available output power is typically 250W for the positive outputs and 75W for the negative output. The overall power rating with convection cooling is 250W or up to 500W with forced air cooling.

Series features incorporate remote sense, remote on/off, plus an open-collector power good signal for each output. The series is highly efficient, up to 95%, decreasing internal heat for improved reliability. All models are 123.4mm high, 115mm deep with a very narrow 36.5mm width.

All models are safety certified to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 and are CE marked for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS Directives. The units also comply with EN 55032-A conducted and radiated emissions and meet the EN 61000-4 conducted, radiated and magnetic field immunity standards.
